Parking in the U District is notoriously difficult, limited and expensive. But, if that's the way you want to get there...
1. Carpool - really, you'll be glad you did.
2. The best parking lot for this event is on the UW campus at the Burke Museum. From I-5, take the NE 45th St exit and head east. Go to the north entrance of the University on NE 45th St, just east of 15th Ave. Stop at the booth there and ask for Burke Museum parking lot. After 5pm parking is only $5 for the whole evening. You'll take the first right into the Burke Museum parking lot. Follow the arrows on the ground that direct traffic. Follow them to the parking spots furthest from the Museum - in the southwest corner. In this corner, you will find a short staircase that takes you to 45th just across the street from the UTemple church. Go across the street (wait for the light!), head south along 15th to the front entrance, and you're golden.
3. Arrive EARLY. Seriously, traffic in Seattle is crazy nowadays, so planning to be super-early never fails. And if, by some miracle, you are early, the pre-show starts just after the doors open at 6, and "The Whateverly Brothers and Friends" and Fellowship of Reconciliation are worth the price of admission already! (The event is free, but you know what I mean.)
